HKS reached a major milestone as we celebrated our 10th Anniversary in grand style at Melville Rugby Club! It was an evening filled with nostalgia, gratitude, and excitement as we reflected on our incredible journey over the past decade. The event brought together club members, supporters, and well-wishers who have played a crucial role in shaping HKS into the vibrant and passionate community it is today.
The evening began with a warm welcome speech by Taitas CK, our Club Secretary, setting the tone for a night of joy and celebration. This was followed by an inspiring address by our Club President, Jose Geevarghese, who walked us through the club’s history, achievements, and the strong sense of brotherhood that has kept HKS thriving. A specially curated PPT presentation further highlighted our journey, showcasing the memorable moments and milestones that define our legacy.
As a token of appreciation, special guests were honored with mementos, recognizing their invaluable contributions and unwavering support towards the club. This was followed by heartfelt congratulatory speeches by Jeevan Chettan and Anand P, who shared their wishes and admiration for the club’s growth and the dedication of its members. Their words truly resonated with the audience, reinforcing the passion that drives HKS forward.
One of the most exciting moments of the night was the unveiling of the 10th Anniversary Edition Travel Jersey. This special edition jersey represents not just a uniform but a symbol of our unity, determination, and commitment to the sport. The excitement in the room was palpable as we proudly revealed this unique design, marking a new chapter in HKS’s history.
No celebration is complete without a cake, and we made sure to mark this special occasion in the sweetest way possible. The Cake Cutting Ceremony brought everyone together, celebrating a decade of hard work, camaraderie, and achievements. The evening also saw a very special moment as we honored our 10-year players—those who have stood by the club with dedication and passion. Tintu, Jibeesh, Rejesh, Khamar, and Ancil were recognized for their incredible commitment, and it was truly inspiring to see how their journey has shaped the club over the years.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Sobin, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this celebration a grand success. The night wouldn’t have been complete without capturing these golden moments, and so, we came together for a grand Group Photo Session, sealing these cherished memories forever.
As the celebrations wound down, everyone gathered for a delicious dinner, sharing laughter, stories, and camaraderie that make HKS more than just a club—it’s a family. The bonds we have built over the years, the victories we have celebrated, and the challenges we have overcome together have made this journey truly special.
